As Pilgrims of the Eucharist we are born out of the initiative of God who calls our founders Father Francesco María de la Santísima Trinidad and Mother Amada Clara de los Sagrados Corazones de Jesús y María to form a Family of consecrated life.
Their paths cross by the year 1993 being the two young law university students in the city of Bogota, Colombia. In this same year, from their personal conversion experience, they began a true and incessant search for God’s Will for their lives, which led them to live different personal experiences that later took shape in what we know today as the Pilgrims of the Eucharist.
Among others, it is worth mentioning some of them:
Year 1994: Lay missionaries in the city of Bogotá (Colombia) belonging to the “San Miguel Arcángel” prayer group of a charismatic nature, led by the Franciscan priest, Fr. Gerardo Sotelo.
Year 1995: Itinerant missionaries of the Marian priestly movement founded by the Italian priest P. Stefano Gobbi, in the apostolic prefecture of Guapi / Cauca (Colombia), under the direction of the then Bishop Monsignor Rafael Morales Duque O.F.M.
Year 2000: They realize an experience of Franciscan life, they know and participate in the movement of Families of Nazareth, they receive formation as missionaries ad gentes of the pontifical missionary works, they exercise voluntary service in radio Maria and in the shelters of elders of the daughters of the charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, they completed their law studies and Fr. Francesco advances theological studies at the University of San Buenaventura in Bogotá.
Year 2001: Fr.Francesco enters the community of «Ermitaños Eucarísticos del Padre Celestial» where he is sent that same year to the city of Sergobe Castellon (Spain) to finish his teological studies, already initiated.
Year 2004: Fr.Francesco is ordained presbyter by then Bishop of Castellon, Monsegnior Juan Antonio Reig Plá. A few months later he was transferred to Colombia, and that is where our founders met again, since at that time M. Amada was entering the same community.
Year 2005: On the initiative of the founder of the Ermitaños(Fr. Antonio Lootens Ipens), Fr. Francesco is sent to begin a new experience as a missionary, which is joined by several male members of the Ermitaños community and some sisters, among which is M. Amada.
Without any initiative on the part of Fr. Francesco nor M. Amada to found a new community, on October 12, 2005, this new experience began with the idea of still being part of the work founded by Father Antonio; However, the Holy Spirit starts pointing a new direction for us, actualizing the life and experience of our founders, in an original way of life that today has materialized in a new charism for the Church.
